I’ve been connecting with some brilliant parent bloggers from South Wales for the Sweet Summer Challenge. First up is the lovely Lisa from The Contented Family Project. Her wonderful blog is all about building resilience to maintain positive well being. One of the tools Lisa uses to stay positive is choosing to be happy, even in the face of less than perfect external conditions. So it was quite fitting really that on the day of our session, it was pouring with rain!
I could really tell that this was a family dedicated to focusing on the positives, the rain didn’t phase them in the slightest, so I followed their example, covered my camera to stop it getting to wet and got to work.
It was actually great that it rained, as one of the things on their Sweet Summer Challenge was dancing in the rain. We also climbed trees, played Pooh sticks and hide and seek and admired the flowers.
I hope you’re having fun checking items off your Sweet Summer Challenge. If you haven’t signed up yet and you want some ideas on what to do with the family over the summer you can sign up at the bottom of this post.
