It’s August already! How did that happen? we’re already almost at the end of summer! Last weekend I nipped in to Sainsbury’s and they have all their Autumn clothes on display. I love Autumn but whoa, I’m not ready to give up summer just yet.
To hide away from the impending change of seasons, let’s go back to July, when British strawberries were in their prime and I headed to Hendrewennol fruit farm with Rebecca from Mouse Dog Baby and her family.
Hendrewennol has been on my wish list for a while now, but last year whenever we made plans to go there it rained heavily. That’s why I was really excited when Rebecca suggested we do her Sweet Summer Challenge photoshoot there, because it would give me a chance to visit. The plan was to take my family too and do some fruit picking of our own. Unfortunately fate had other ideas and my hubby was ill that weekend, so alas I had to
eat pick all the fruit myself.
The kids had a brilliant time. Iris loved searching for the biggest strawberries, whilst Astrid was happy to watch her big sister and sample the occasional strawberry.
After strawberries we picked raspberries, they looked so delicious I could’t resist picking a punnet myself.
I really hope I get a chance to take Lottie to Hendrewennol soon, it’s a great place for young children and it’s lovely to be out in the countryside.
You can visit Rebecca and follow along with the adventures of Mouse Dog Baby on her blog.
Do you like the idea of having a family photo shoot that’s fun, not stressful? If you love these images and want your own joyful summer photography session contact me now to book. I only have a few sessions remaining in August.
Next week we’re taking a walk in the park with Charlotte from Welsh Mummy Blogs.
